As Malaysia celebrates its Independence Day, I can’t help but to reflect not only on our nation’s journey to freedom but also on my own personal journey towards financial independence.
Just as our country fought for its sovereignty and the right to determine its future, we too can take charge of our financial destinies.
It’s been about four months since I started this blog, and during this time, I’ve realised that many people that I talk to find the idea of retirement daunting.
Much like the struggle for independence, retirement planning can feel overwhelming and out of reach. But with the right knowledge and tools, achieving financial freedom is possible.
In the spirit of Merdeka, I’ve decided to dedicate a part of my writing to help break free from financial uncertainties, with a focus on the FIRE (Financial Independence, Retire Early) movement.
FIRE offers a roadmap to financial independence and early retirement, allowing you to take control of your financial future much like our nation took control of its destiny.
This Independence Day, as we honor the past and celebrate our freedom, let’s also commit to securing our financial independence.
